The untold story of the Doodler is a new documentary podcast series from Ugly Duckling Films.

You guys ask the most insightful questions, so today I’m going to answer the ones that seem to matter most to you. This is a tough case to investigate, made even harder by COVID restrictions, so it’s been incredibly helpful to have all of the information and support you’ve given to the family. Let’s dive right in – but I will warn you – some of the answers to your questions are going to leave you madder than you were when you asked them.  

Show Description: For the past three years, a master con artist has lured a long and growing list of entertainment industry professionals to Indonesia and scammed them out of tens of thousands of dollars by posing as powerful female Hollywood producers pretending to be setting up big-budget film projects. From extracting money to holding blackmail material to even baiting a male victim into phone sex, there seemed no limit to what this person was willing - and able - to do. It’s a story that involves a brilliant sociopath, powerful producers who have had their identities stolen, and a dogged female private investigator who’s chased their online shadow for years (often from her NJ home after her kids are in bed). Crowdsourcing Justice™Write This Down

Imagine that you’ve been in a terrible accident, and you are rushed to the hospital. Doctors and nurses are buzzing in and out, checking your vitals, and administering medication. But as the hours pass, you realize that no one is writing anything down in your chart. And curiously, no one is asking you how you are doing, what you remember, or wanting to know your medical history. You start to panic, because you know that you might be getting too much or too little medication. You may have injuries no one has noticed, because no one has examined you. What if you are getting important treatment because the caregivers assigned to your case don’t know what the other team members have done? What if someone isn’t doing what they are supposed to? Who would ever know? Just as we would expect medical professional to understand the critical importance or proper documentation, we should demand nothing less from law officers sworn to protect and serve us. Doctors go through years of training to be able to learn best practices so they can deliver high quality, consistent healthcare to their patients. Competent death scene investigators do the same. There are best practices for securing scenes, avoiding bias, collecting evidence, evaluating that evidence, and coming to evidence-based conclusions. These investigations should proceed in a logical and methodical manner and what is discovered should be meticulous documented. Today, we are going to compare industry accepted best practices for death scene investigation documentation to what was done in the case of Kadie, River, and Aadon’s deaths. You can decide for yourself if her death investigation was documented properly.

Red Flags – circumstances or facts that need me to take a closer look. Look at any investigating that has already been done to see if there are any gaps that need to be filled. Along with that, get a good understanding of everyone involved in the investigation to see what their level of training and expertise is. Red is often used as a warning color because it’s a color that grabs your attention. In an investigation, red flags jump out and grab your attention because they don’t seem to fit the given narrative of the case. Kadie Major grew up a bubbly, cheerful girl in a small town just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. She always dreamed of owning a farmhouse where she could raise horses and grow her family. In high school, she fell in love with a quiet, reserved classmate named Aaron Major. They eventually married and settled into a house just minutes away from Kadie’s parents. By January 2008, Kadie Major seemed to have the perfect life. She and Aaron had a beautiful 10-month old baby girl named River Lynn, with a baby boy (to be named Aidan Robert) on the way.
