Today&#39;s question is from Ryan, who would like to know the best ways for seeking authorizations for an area that Ryan is looking to fly in. Standard FAA maps shows the area requiring heavy approvals and authorizations to be in place and Ryan would like to know what would be the best way to address this.

Thanks for the question, Ryan. In response to today&#39;s question, we start off discussing the traditional approval approach for flying in heavily regulated airspace and that has been done through LAANC. We discuss some of the limitations of LAANC and share ways to obtain wide area authorizations. we discuss in detail about our experience getting these approvals in the past and the ways that we used to seek authorizations. We share tips and tricks to getting and making contacts for these authorizations and the challenges involved. We also discuss other aspects of getting and flying under these authorizations and specifically on pricing as authorizations are know to be time consuming and requiring persistent efforts to build relations and obtain approvals. We discuss the amount of fee to be charged and if they need to be a flat fee or % based.
